Victorian poor children were force d to work as chimney sweeps to earn money for their families.Chimney sweeps were mainly boys. Other jobs Victorian children was farm workers, coal mines, scaring birds, pottery making, factory worker and textiles. Why did people treat children horribly? Why did Victorians only chose boys to clean chimney? Why did the children have to be so little?
despite the availability of these new products vast numbers of the working population in the countryside were still living in cottages, hovels and shacks well into the 20 century. in towns poor people live in back-to-back houses called terraced houses.
